Xin Yuan residential community has an enclosed-type layout in planning and design to form a spatial sequence with a rich sense of variation from the building blocks to the large oases (public area of the residential community) and small oases (private gardens of the groups) and create smooth transition from public space to private space. It is a wonderful dwelling environment in a flourishing city. 

        The design discards the fashionable trend of adopting the European Style that was popular in the preceding period. Instead, it creates a residential building image both having the characteristics of the era and reflecting a regional style that has a kind, pleasant, natural and quiet living atmosphere, with architectural design languages including sunshine booth, glass balcony, corner bay window as well as window wall in light of the local climatic conditions of Nanjing and the design motif of  "unshine city".
 
        The main entrance at the north of the residential community and the club form a small square in front of the entrance. The small square and the one-storey retail store along Guanghua Road jointly create good commercial atmosphere. It places emphasis on the image promotion of the residential quarter, and enhances its intimate connection with the city and the commercial value of the land lot. The big central oasis and residence groups of the residential quarter are in the rear, forming an interior region to sharpen the community awareness of the development.
